Join us as we welcome Byron Bay based artist Nadera Adil with her latest collection of works ‘Nude’, opening at Newrybar Merchants on July 5, 2019

Nadera’s lastest body of work is centred around her fascination with texture, a nude colour palette and the female form. These mixed media abstract creations focus on a minimalistic approach and are interposed with societal underpinnings on self-image and acceptance while simultaneously imploring that beauty comes from within.

Having grown in nestles between the South Australian wineries and stunning Fleurier Peninsula, the daughter of Soviet trained portraiture artist Iroda Adil studied a BA Environmental Engineering and BA Health Sciences.

“My diverse background has developed my eye for form, anatomy and texture,” Nadera explains.

Through the play of gritty textures, free flowing strokes and abstraction, her work draws upton the contrast between insecurities, perceived perceptions of beauty, and mental health.
