KAT BAK - MARCH 2019

Originally from Melbourne, Kat Bak currently resides in Byron Bay, facilitating weekly life drawing sessions as well as curating SIDE SEAM Artspace at the local Service Denim store.

Her exhibition ‘Romantica’ uses simplistic minimal lines and fluctuating brushstrokes and tones, focusing on abstract elements of the human landscape and in particular that of the always wondrous female form. Through the series she explores notions of connection, reflection, and the ideals we have within our closest relationships; between lovers, family, friends and ourselves.
