NATaLie Walton BYRON BOOK LAUNCH - THIS IS HOME: THE ART OF SIMPLE LIVING

Friday 6th April, 2018 - 9.30am-11.30am

Join us for breakfast and conversation with Natalie Walton on the launch of her first book, This Is Home: The Art of Simple Living at Harvest Bakery Newrybar on Friday 6th April from 9.30-11.30am.

Natalie will be joined by renowned designer and Byron Bay local Shannon Fricke and UK based Architect & Designer Simone McEwan for an in-depth talk about how our homes can enhance and nurture our lives, discussing what makes a home and how we can blend design and a sense of self into our spaces whilst also considering the practicalities.

This is Home: The Art of Simple Living is Natalie's heart and soul project that encapsulates 10 years’ worth of lessons she learnt working as an interior stylist and writer, celebrating simple living and how to focus our values to create authentic homes full of meaning and joy. For the book Natalie stepped inside fifteen homes across the world to meet the people who made them, and to discover whether there is some universality to what makes us happy in the spaces we inhabit.

Postcard Tarot READINGS – EVERy MONDAY 10am to 4pm

Cost: $50 per session (lasts average 30-45 minutes)

"Postcard Tarot is collaborative in the sense that people send me postcards for the deck, often with the message including their take on what the card means. Then the person I’m reading for puts their own spin on what they see in the image or words, and how it relates to them. I’m empathetic and intuitive and guide the process, but the reading itself is collaborative too.

I have always loved postcards and all things paper – Postcard Tarot is a great match with Fate and Fortune and I am looking forward to sharing Postcard Tarot in the beautiful space that is Newrybar Merchants.

I’ve been doing Postcard Tarot readings for 30 years or so. In the age of instant messaging, people love seeing all the not-so-instant messages in the deck. Analog awesomeness!

Time and time again, I’m amazed at how the postcards organise themselves to be quite specific and relevant to the person I’m reading for. They definitely have their own energy, I guess because of all the love and intent that went into choosing and sending them to me."
